The Microstead Network is a regenerative-living movement proving that self-sufficiency can start on just a quarter acre of land.
Founded by Campton Wilkins, the project combines natural building, permaculture & DIY food systems, and community education into a repeatable, open-source model for living in balance with nature.
We teach people how to build their own cob homes, grow food with recycled water, and fund their homesteads through creative, eco-based products like ranging from seed bombs, to mushroom supplements and creative regen products.
Our mission is to make sustainability accessible to the status quo with reclaimed materials, community shared land, and the power of ethical technologies.
The nonprofit initiative aims to address hunger, housing shortages, job scarcity, and fractured education by offering fully accessible documentation and real-world training. This includes microsteads/farms, community gardens, seed bomb programs, hydroponic towers, microgreen racks, mushroom grow rooms, affordable natural building methods, and nature based learning. The goal is to create a living library that anyone can use to produce food, build shelter, generate income, and develop purpose. The Microstead Method provides a pathway for people to grow, contribute, and flourish.
Our volunteers roll Seed Bombs to rebuild pollinator-friendly areas and support the ecosystems that depend on them. Bees and other pollinators are under real pressure, and restoring their habitat starts with simple actions that scale.
We use a premium wildflower mix that grows in all 50 states, combined with clay and compost for durability and easy germination.
Every purchase directly supports local agricultural nonprofits and helps grow the global Microstead network.
